Traffic Violator School

If your current traffic violation carries one point or less, it has been at least 18 months since your last traffic school course and you were not driving a commercial vehicle when you were cited, you can take our Online Traffic School course, Licensed by the State of California.

The course is 5 hours, 40 minutes and you can take the final exam after you have passed the 11 unit quizzes and completed the time requirement. The final exam is "open-book," meaning you can access the relevant section of the course for each question on the exam, ensuring your successful completion. You can complete the course in any number of sittings from any computer and your progress will be saved when you log out. As long as you finish by your court-ordered completion date, you can go at your own pace.

When you pass the course we will report electronically to the California DMV. The DMV will then forward your completion to the court and your violation and points will be masked on your driving record. You can also print a Certificate of Completion for your own records immediately after passing the final exam.

Please note that there is only one option for all courts in Los Angeles County. All citations issued in Los Angeles County are reported to the Central District Metropolitan Los Angeles Courthouse (Court # 19463).
